Welcome to the World of Auvèrnha Auvèrnha is an enchanted European region located in southcentral France. It encompasses the former regions of Limousin, Auvergne, Midi-Pyrenees, and Languedoc-Roussillon (as depicted in the below map), which merged in Spring of 2007 to form a super power. Auvèrnha borders Spain and the Mediterranean Sea, and is close neighbors with Italy and Switzerland. It is divided into two subdivisions: Highland Oaks (the northern countryside) and Alexandria Bay (the southern urban neighborhoods). It is this latter subdivision wherein the capital of Auvèrnha (and of France) can be found: the metropolis known as Arcadia. Auvèrnha is famed for the breathtaking beauty of its landscapes, as well as its majestic architecture. Many of the land's cities have historical roots that stretch back as far as the Middle Ages. Other areas boast even older ties. With Renaissance fountains, Romanesque cathedrals, and the sentiments of a pilgrimage always in the air, Auvèrnha is truly a fresh intake of culture. Arcadia represents the blossoming of modernity in the region. Its skyscrapers, fast paced downtown life, and fast food restaurants keep the simple land of Auvèrnha up to pace with the rest of the world. Endor and Shiloh are fascinating cities all of their own. Endor has become a morbid little sanctuary for criminals, prostitutes, and the morally deranged, and thus been coined as the red-light district in the region. Reports from both authorities and civilians alike attest to "high supernatural activity" transpiring across the vicinity. Some attribute these strange occurrences to the voodoo and black magic practices of Endor's renown cults. But most, inclusive of certain orthodox religious groups, understand the mysticism to be a direct ongoing aftermath of an unseen battle between good and evil. Shiloh, on the other hand, is a quiet medieval city located atop the basalt for which it is named. Once home to the biggest monastery in the world, it fell quiet when the jesuit order suddenly disappeared without a trace. It's rumored that the monastery has become a haven for those individuals carrying triple-helix DNA who wish to avoid persecution. Others claim the monastery is intead the headquarters for manic eugenicists who conduct torturous experiments on these same individuals. The Academy at Arcadia was founded in 1793 by General L. Archibald Chambliss. Its mascot is the Arthurian knight and its motto is Fiat Lux: “Let there be light.” The academy’s colors are cardinal, black, gold and white. Today, the Academy at Arcadia is internationally recognized as one of the most prestigious liberal arts colleges and rigorous military institutes in the world. Its students represent the top 3% of young scholars across the globe, its faculty consists of the most accomplished academicians, and its officers the most decorated from the Navy, Marines, and Air Force of twenty different nations. Other schools include Winchester Academy, Rochester University (the biggest and most popular public university; their mascot is the Buccaneer and the school is renown for its excellence in athletics), Bedford College (renown for its superior professional schools), Preston University, and Valencia Community College. The biggest high school is represented by the Bay Ridge Bulldogs. Finally, the military base and training grounds, Halifax, is also found in Arcadia. There are many ways the city achieves this. One of its oldest not-for-profit government operations is the St. Nicolas Home for Children, a refuge for minors in need of foster care and orphans who are up for adoption. The city is also renown for its excellent health care. It's hospitals are among the best in all of Europe, with groundbreaking technology and superior physicians. One such place is The Geneva Home, a haven for mentally-handicapped individuals. It is continously praised for its fine work. The Geneva Home
