Keith Neismith has always had a problem with commitments. He rarely holds onto a job for more than six months, and his dating life is pretty much non-existant. It's a shortcoming he's exuded since his early twenties, when irreconcilable differences prompted him to up and leave his wife (Jennifer) and son (Luke) without a single word one summer morning. He only showed his face once in Luke's life thereafter, and that was on the boy's 13th birthday--"a monumental day that shouldn't be missed". A few drinks shared between Keith and Jennifer led to an unexpected night, and nine months later their second and last son, Tommy, was born. As always, though, Keith had no intention of tying himself down to a livelihood, and promptly left the scene during Jennifer's pregnancy. However, tragedy struck only seven years later when Jennifer suddenly died. Before he knew it, social workers were calling him nonstop about a seven-year-old boy, his own son, who would now need a father. Now Keith faces his greatest challenge yet: parenting.
