Amani Dajani Birthdate: November 9, 1993 Height: 5'1" Weight: 100 lbs Eye color: dark brown Hair color: dark brown Race: Arab Occupation: None Friends: Zoraida, Farah Enemies: None Amani is perhaps the most energetic and spirited within the Dajani household. As any girl her age, she loves to talk. Talk, talk, talk. It's all she ever does. No one really knows where all the words come from as much as this resident chatterbox goes on and on. She's had issues before bringing dishonor to the family by not holding her tongue in the presence of men, but she was rightfully chastised by her parents for such outspokenness. Still, it hasn't neccessarily tamed her spirit. She still challenges the way society's run (although she only speaks of this to her mother, sister, and close friends). She wants to go to university to get an education, and not be married off by her father. That isn't to say she finds no interest in boys, though. In fact, she finds everything about romance adventurous. When she has a spare hour, she likes to read romance novels that she sends for in the mail. She daydreams about having such a relationship all the time. One day, she wants to find a man she loves and elope with him, traveling the world with him until she's old.

We don't know where Farrah could possibly be! She was taken from us without a word, and she hasn't been back since! She's been gone for months! Mother is so terribly depressed. She doesn't know I've seen, but I've caught her crying many times. I wonder if Father will go to the government about this? Perhaps they can find her. It all happened when Aqil was sentenced to death and being led to his execution. I wasn't there. Mother and I were forbidden to attend. But at market the next day, all they could talk about was how Aqil had been taken away. Like an adventure! I wonder if Farrah was taken away because she is with child? In many of the romance novels I read, sometimes the woman goes away because she has become with child. I received a new novel in the mail today. It is the longest one yet. It is almost 400 pages. I cannot wait to read it! I could only read the first few sentences, and then Father came looking for me and I had to put it away quickly. Tonight, though, after I finish helping Mother with the kitchen chores, I plan to read at least two chapters! I do wish Farrah is here, so that I can tell her about the adventures as I read them. Sometimes, I like to practice speaking aloud and read her pieces. But I mostly like to tell her what's happening next, and how I wish I could escape and run away to places like in the book. Allah has told me that I will be able to do these things again, and so I know Farrah is well. I am not worried. Allah will bring her back to us.
