Kader Dajani stats here
Kader is his father's son. And his father's father's son. In fact, it can be assumed that Kader's personality is similar to a long line of Dajani males. They believe in the Qu'arn and in the Saudi state. They respect the rules that are in place because without those rules, the state would crumble and fall. And they can also tend to be selfish at times, only thinking of themselves and how something effects them. While some males in Saudi Arabia are more modern, Kader refuses to believe that is the right way. He is the father of Farrah and Amani Dajani and the husband of Zoraida. He allowed his daughters to get an educated that consisted mostly of reading and writing and learning about their faith, but will not give them permission to attend the University. He feels that goes beyond what a woman needs to know. He was upset when he learned that Zoraida would never produce him a son, and at times he tends to remind her in little ways, such as mentioning to Ilyas how lucky he is to have two sons. He does love his family, but majority of the time it can seem like a "tough love" situation. He believes he knows what is best for them and his word is the final word.

As I am unable to leave my property for 90 days, I am unsure of exactly what has occurred. I had a friend over from the city who has heard that the Saudi government has found a man to be a suspected terrorist and plans to execute him. At first, I was happy to hear that. We need none of that mess here in Saudi Arabia and anyone who would go to that extreme deserves the punishment he gets. However, he then tells me that it is Aqil Ataullah--my daughter's husband. My son-in-law is a terrorist. You can imagine the shock I felt. Shock, and then anger.
Why was I not aware of this? Was Ilyas aware of his son's actions and kept them from me so that I might give Aqil my daughter? There are many men I could have given Farrah to and none of them are suspected terrorists. This will no doubt make people believe I knew something about this. They have not been married a year and she will be a widow because of Aqil's actions. With a son! She will have to move back in with us. It will be extremely hard for me to find a man generous enough to marry her so that she is provided for. If we can possibly come to an agreement of fixed terms, it might be possible. And Amani...I still have to find a husband for her and I pray to Allah this does not hinder that process. I am sorry Ilyas will lose a son, but this has put a strain on me as well.
