Miguel is the father of Rosalyn and the husband of Sophia. He is a soldier in the Auvernha Army and is usually out of the country on active duty. He is a loving father and a faithful husband and would do anything for his family. He knows that the family's financial backing is not as well as he would hope, but he still wants to give his family everything they deserve. While is wife is sick after being diagnosed with the uncurable Huntington's Disease, he has put all of his energy into his job as a soldier and also into his daughter. It is not that he does not love Sophia, he just does not know what he can do to help her. He loves Sophia more than anything and wishes he could cure her, but he knows he cannot, so he does the one thing he can do--continue providing for his family. He wants to give Rosalyn anything and make this time easy for her, especially since he is not home very often, and he knows that one day it will just be the two of them. He likes seeing her happy and spending time with her friends.
