((a thread for times when you're too lazy to write out a story and just want to do the conversation ha... it can also be used for emails and AIM conversations))
Charles: Charles Hainsworth.
Searlait: Charles, hello. It's Searlait. Kostya and I have just arrived in Brittany and have checked into the location where we will be conducting the stake-out.
Charles: Excellent. Do let me know if backup will be neccessary.
Searlait: Of course. *mm* Charles, with all due respect, I cannot understand why Kostya has been given this assignment. His expertise is in cryptology. I feel this assignment does not suit his abilities.
Charles: Agent Beaumont, I do hope this isn't a personal conflict based on your desire to be closer to home right now.
Searlait *knows he's displeased when he starts using last names.. ha* *eh* No no, of course not. I simply question the experience of the partner I've been given for a high-profile sting operation, that's all.
Charles: You've been an agent for eight years, and you're suddenly authorized to question the decisions your superiors make?
Searlait: *gah* Charles, I do not trust him..
Charles: *pause* Do not trust him? And why is that?
Searlait: I simply have a bad feeling about him.
Charles: I hope this isn't women's intuition..
Searlait: Perhaps it is.
Charles: Well to counter your intuition, the council has a very impressive CV, and equally impressive recommendation letters. He's a fine candidate, and you've nothing to worry about. Has this anything to do with his being from Russia?
Searlait: *it's everything to do with that* ...Perhaps.
Charles: We've double checked and triple checked his background, Searlait. He is as clean as they come. No government affiliation and no mafia affiliation. *which is too bad...he could've helped me find my son..*
Searlait: I just feel as if the agency has othere agendas in mind regarding the employment of a foreign applicant. I thought it was strict policy that we only hire natives of France.
Charles: Well I'd be happy, if I were you, that that policy is often overlooked, considering you are not a native of France.
Searlait: *....* *hmph* I simply wanted to voice my concern.
Charles: And you have. Is there anything else, Agent Beaumont?
Searlait: *ugh* I suppose not.
Charles: Excellent. I expect your current assignment to be completed within 72 hours, given your stellar record. Should it take any longer, we may have to consider another temporary suspension.
Searlait: *what!* *frowns* Charles, that is hardly--
Charles: Good day, Searlait. *hangs up, ha*
Searlait: *just stands there, holding the UCD like.. !* *ugh*
