Hehe..our thread for our novel!

Okay..so what's the plaan? Is it going to be about Alain's quest to regain his inheritance of being heir apparent?

Anyways...I didn't realize that Aralain met last year...August 1, 2007 is when Alain journaled about kissing Ara. Haha..he said his first kiss came to a girl who threatened him with a gun. Oh Aralain..

Anyways... here's the beginning of an Aralain timeline so we know what needs to be included or excluded. This comes from the old boards and the new boards (including enqurier stories hehe) and will be updated!

August 1, 2007: Ara receives a new assignment from FDS concerning Shiloh and the Triple Helix because Seth ran off with Sean Lewis.

August 2 or 3, 2007: Ara threatens Alain, trying to find out answers about Shiloh. In an attempt to have his security leave, he kisses Ara in the back of his car.

August 4, 2007: Ara goes to Shiloh with Nicolas, Sakura, and Araemon. Alain arrives as well because he's not sure Ara understands the gravity(?) of the situation. Alain ends up getting kidnapped. Ara's new assignment is now to rescue him from China

August 17, 2007: Alain is rescued from China (without so much as a thank you to Ara lol). Alain then puts Ara under 72-hour imprisonment while he performs a background check on her.

August 25, 2007: Ara receives a new assignment from FDS as Alain's bodyguard. She's put on the assignment to find out more information about Alain and the royal family. I don't know why..I guess because Seth and Alain had the uncanny resemblance and he had told her Seth was a cousin. So I guess Charles was like..no, Seth isn't a cousin, so what's going on?

August 26 or 27, 2007: Alain takes Ara to Chez Blanc

August 28, 2007: Ara takes Alain to Johnny Rockets to show him normal people lol. The reporters then assume that Ara and Alain are dating. Alain's ratings skyrocket overnight.

August 29, 2007: The Auvernha Enquirer runs a story about Alain's relationship with a non-royal. Dateline also runs a story that evening about the date at Johnny Rockets and the public's approval of the relationship. Alain tells Ara that they must continue the dating charade and gets her two expensive guns to seal the deal haha

September 8, 2007: Charles ignores Ara's request and tells Frederic that Alain is not his son

December 17, 2007: Alain gives a council speech about equal rights for those with the triple helix

January 22, 2008: Alain tells the public that he has the triple helix gene and is the adopted son of the king and queen. He suggests the king should be chosen by the people.

January 28, 2008: Children's Hospitals of France Benefit Ball. Philippe and Alain get into a fight

August 11, 2008 (?): Frederic chooses Philippe as heir in a press conference.

August 17, 2008 (?): Alain and Ara take a vacation to Switzerland

August 21, 2008: Alain and Ara go to Geneva to try to find where they are keeping the kids with the triple helix. They are caught and pull it off as a publicity visit.

September 18, 2008: Alain finds out what Ara actually does for a living with Nicolas and Michel and he calls her a murderer

September 21, 2008: Alain goes with Ara, Sakura, and Nicolas on a hit

September 28, 2008: After being told to remain at Halifax for his safety, Alain and Ara go to Shiloh to rescue Jackie. Alain is kidnapped once again by Seth and taken to Germany

October 10, 2008: Ara and Sakura rescue Alain from Germany

October 14, 2008: Alain emails the Enquirer, saying his father is guilty of authorizing arrests of the 3X people

October 15, 2008: Alain fires Ara lol. She returns a few days later when Charles informs her that Alain can't fire her and he is still the subject on her assignment

October 19, 2008:Alain proposes to Ara to increase media attention and she turns him down. He then begins decreasing her hours.

October 20, 2008: Enquirer reports that Frederic has agreed to allow the people to vote for the next king

November 1, 2008: Alain meets up with Audrey at his birthday bash

November 27, 2008: Alain spends Thanksgiving with Audrey in New Zealand. Jackie and Vanni come along as well.

December 2, 2008: Alain tells the Enquirer that him and Ara are dating and never broke up in the first place.

December 7, 2008: Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony! Alain kisses Ara to please the Enquirer photographer and reporters. Ara's unsure of how to react

December 9, 2008: Araxie, Daemon, and Sakura convince Ara to get into the dating charade for Alain's benefit...and for their own amusement hehe.

December 10, 2008: Alain's benefit! He composes two songs for her and she wears the engagement ring on a chain around her neck. The two fly off to Australia afterwards

December 13, 2008: Ara punches Audrey and Charlotte in the Louis Vitton store in Australia. The press eats it up and her ratings drop

December 18, 2008: Alain gives Ara her Christmas presents-- the Volvo and a complete workout/weapon room...Ara's personal heaven lol

Tehe, yeeah. They've been together for a while! lol. It almost seems like it should even be longer than.. what.. 16 months lol.

Anyway, I thought maybe we could list out the things we'd like to keep for each of our characters lol.


ALAIN

1. OCD-ness, by faarrrr. Well, actually, I just want it to be germaphobia specifically, because that basically encompasses his paranoia about everything. Plus, Seth is OCD lol, so I don't want to repeat it when I write a Seth novel. At least, I think he's OCD... yes, he is. lol.

2. Piano playing. ((aw haha, noah just barged into the room and knocked the door into the wall, and i was like.. whooa, careful careful...and he walked back over to the door to make sure everything was okay haha.. i swear, he is like a person reincarnated or something...)) Anyway. Yes. Piano playing ha. I don't know about fencing, though. That doesn't seem Alainesque.

3. The fancy cars lol. I have to figure out the name of that car I found. I should've written it down. Boo. How will I ever find it.. Maybe yahoo answers haha. I'll post a picture of the car.

4. Finding out he's not a D'Aubigne. Although I don't know if I want him to be a 3X, only because ((haha, noah just collapsed on the floor..)) Alain never even uses his powers and I don't think his powers really define him. I think finding out that he's actually a lowclass citizen is enough trauma haha. Besides, we can still say the lower class is being opressed...like they are in every nation lol. So he can still be about equal rights and all.




But yes. Hmm. So now we have to figure out how Ara enters the picture. Maybe we can sneak in FDS and Seareeeiiid hehehe

Yeeah...I like what you're keeping for Alain. I think finding out that he's not a D'Aubigne would be enough.

And maybe FDS and Seareid can make an appearance hehe..we can't leave them out! Maybe they decide that Alain needs tighter security, like they're getting an increase in threats towards Alain because he's not a true D'Aubigne. Backlash. Or something. So they put an agent into his security to better protect him.

Should we keep Araemon and Sakura in the story? hehe

ARA

1. Keep her as a FDS agent/security, of course lol
2. Her background...I don't know about this! We could keep it the same or we could just say she got all of her training from FDS. I guess it's not too big of a deal either way.


I don't think Ara has any quirks like Alain..like the OCD and the piano playing. hmm...at least none that I can think of right now. lol

Why Ara Went to Alain in the First Place (Non-FDS related)

1. Alain saw something he shouldn't have or overheard something, so Michel or Nicolas wanted to chat with him.

2. Alain's trying to close down the casino (maybe to better the area or because of the...seductive new shows..isn't that why Rae quit originally?), so Michel, as one of the partners, is put in charge of discussing the issue with Alain. If they put Johnny or a Tagliatti in charge of doing that, Alain might not be alive at the end lol

3. Alain wants the royal family to be in charge of the casino because he doesn't want the Auvernha underground having an upperhand. Maybe he's trying to put the criminal underground out of business.

4. Something else. I'm still trying to think! haha

So where should the novel even start? Well, I know we still have to decide why Ara was there in the first place haha...of course. Should that be the beginning of it? Or I guess that can be decided later. Like you said, we don't have to write it in order.

And should it end with Alain claiming the throne? That's coming up! yay.

We need to do a timeline of the novel...the broad ideas that we want to include in the novel. The first meeting, Ara becoming bodyguard, Alain finding out he's not a D'Aubigne, though I think that was before Ara was his bodyguard. But anyways...whatever ha. Yeah. That will help us plan out the chapters, perhaps.

Alain got fan mail! Aha. I didn't even see that yesterday! I fail lol...

I have a problem similar to ADD in which I'm pumped up for writing a novel one day, and then I flatline a few days later haha. It happens all the time *cries* Maybe I'll have to ask writers how they stay committed to just one character...especially for a long amount of time. Maybe they just keep writing, even through the apathy? Maybe that's it. Either way, I have to snap out of it and just write, or I'll never get anything done! lol

So yes, Aralain novel. I'm not sure about where it should start. There's a few approaches we could take. It can kind of be like...open with some big traumatic scene lol... like a shootout or something... kind of like when Ara rescued Alain in China? And it can be in either of their heads, I suppose... and just be like...'well, here i am again.. surprise surprise...this has been my life lately... death defying stunts... all because of so-and-so...my new charge (or my new bodyguard)...insult insult insults haha...but that's not even the start of it..." one of those, "let's start from the beginning" things.. I don't know lol.

The other opening I thought could just start with Ara actually abducting Alain pre-FDS and then getting caught and literally starting from the beginnings of it all.

The next opening was Ara sitting in Charles office already having been caught abducting Alain, and he offering the FDS ticket to her lol

haha...i figured some ADD had popped in or something. I just figured I'd wait until it came back to you.

I like the first beginning. The "and that's not even the start of it..." one. We could add in some journal entries too, like before a chapter. I forget what book I read that had that. Some books switch between the characters' point of view. Like one would be..Sally and then the next chapter would be from Mary's point of view. Though I don't know if that could get confusing. But I like that beginning. I think that will give us more flexibility with the flow and timeline.
