Alfonso Rossi has been a marine for over thirty years. His service to this prestigious land force has shaped him as an individual, and has defined what he believes. Since the age of eighteen, Alfonso has always been a steadfast, ambitious, and strong man. Though soft-spoken and calm-tempered, he carries about him an air of authority to which men are drawn with utter respect. He isn't quick to anger, and knows how to keep a level head in disastrous situations. This silent courage and confidence has allowed him to become a brilliant leader within the Marines. As a lieutenant colonel, his battalion is among those that have seen the fewest casualties during war. He is decorated with many a medal, including the Purple Heart, Expeditionary Medal, Commendation Medal, and Navy Cross. Alfonso is also a deeply religious and faithful man. For two years, he was a prisoner of war in Daykundi, Afghanistan and was thought dead by family and friends. He persevered through all breeds of torture, though, and finally returned home when a regiment of marines invaded the prison in December of 2006. After being named a Colonel within the Marine Corp and likewise presented with the Congressional Medal of Honor by Chief-of-State Thaddeus Seymour, Alfonso retired from active duty to teach marine recruits at Halifax Academy.
