I'm not the bad guy in this situation. In fact, I think I was right. Guy rule #1, you don't go after the girl your friend was after. I don't care if you knew about it or not. When you did find out, you were supposed to break things off. It's what friends do! It would have made things awkward. Winnie's my friend too.
And yeah, okay, I was pissed as h3ll that she turned around and broke off the date. And maybe I was jealous that she had basically chosen Rhett over me. I mean, really, Rhett? He's my best friend and all, but I think I would be able to make Winnie happy. I asked her out before him. And call me an @ss all you want, but if I can't have Winnie, I'm certainly not going to let him have her.
