Lilana is the only daughter of Gabi and Rafael Rossi. She is their second child. She got her personality and friendliness from her mother. Growing up, her parents always taught her to be nice to others and to treat them as she would like to be treated, and she has held onto that throughout life. Liliana always finds something good about everyone, and doesn't care who she talks to, no matter what clique or group they are in. She's a hard worker and makes good grades in school. She participates in church functions and helps out in the nursery.

High school is so amazing! I was a little nervous starting Bay Ridge. Rafael was nice enough to show me around to my classes before school started so I wouldn't get lost. My mom said it has changed so much since she went here, mainly because now it's not a public school. The electives and clubs are so much fun and there are a variety of different things. They even have a dance class! I'm definitely taking that one! The academic classes are harder, but that's to be expected. Every night I have homework to do. Sometimes I don't like that because I'd like to just sit back and rest or practice my dancing. I'm in school all day, the least they can give us is a little break!

We have a project to do in chemistry class and we're going to do the chemicals a curator uses on paintings and documents! How neat! Kobe Scarselli is in my group and his mom does those sorts of things, so we have a direct source. We probably have the best idea. Edmund Ashby is in our group too. I'm really glad. I know that he'll work hard. Sometimes I don't like group work because I end up being the only one who does anything. We're going to work on the paper together. I've known him since sixth grade and he's always a hard worker. Thank goodness! My cousin Luca is in the group as well, so that's nice. It'll be easy for us to get together and work on it. He's usually busy with lacrosse, and he's pretty popular here at Bay Ridge, so we'll see how that works out. It's so weird to picture him as popular because I see pictures and home videos of us as toddlers in our diapers running out Uncle Anthony's dogs! He's just Luca to me, so it's funny to see him flirting with girls and all.

I'm so excited! Edmund came over the other day to help me find a monologue to do for my audition. Oh, I'm going to try out for The King and I! Exciting! I've always wanted to do a play before, but I was too nervous to try out. But hopefully I'll do okay. Anyways, he was helping me pick out a monologue and he asked me to go to prom with him! Well, he said we could go together since neither of us have a date, but that's the same thing! I'm so excited. I really wanted to go to prom, but all of the girl friends I have already have dates it seems like, and I didn't want to go by myself. And going with Edmund will be so much fun. He's such a great guy. I feel like he would do anything for anyone. Mom thinks it's sweet that we're going together. Moms. He didn't ask me to go out with him, just to prom! Though I guess if he did, that would be okay too. It's really nice because he appreciates my dancing. A lot of guys I know or have dated don't even bother asking about it and don't seem interested when I tell them about a recital I'm doing. But Edmund's very supportive. We're even trying out for Bedford! Well, him in theater and me in dance. It'll be really neat to have someone I know there. I hope we both get in!

Bedford is so much fun! I'm loving it here. The dance classes are really exciting and everyone is so talented. We're doing a showcase at the end of the semester and then a modern ballet next semester. It's going to be so much fun. I'm excited. It's crazy being around all of these talented dancers. One of the guys in the department was even being looked at my the New York City Ballet! In the States! One girl is being looked at from the Paris Ballet! It's so amazing. I hope I get those opportunities. I've never thought about what to do with dance after college. I would love to do some competitions or even teach dance. But if some ballet company wanted me to join, I don't think I could turn it down! I don't think I'm as good as some of those dancers. Edmund says I'll get those opportunities. I hope he's right! He's going to be in Macbeth! That's so excited. He said he would save me a ticket for opening night and then we could get dinner afterwards! I'm excited for him. I know that he'll do really well. I'm so glad that he came to Bedford too.
