Rafael Jr. is the eldest son of Gabi and Rafael Rossi. He doesn't mind his role as older brother, unless it involves babysitting the twins. He is very much like his dad and strives to maintain that. When Rafael was 16, he was finally able to purchase a car and was thrilled to be able to work on it with his dad and learn from him. He names that moment as one of his top 5 memories in life so far. He tries to be friendly towards most people and tries to avoid confrontation. After his own family, his favorite relative is his Grandpa Rossi, and he loves hearing about his time with the marines at Halifax or stories about his dad when he was a kid. He loves baseball and wants to play baseball, on scholarship, at Rochester University. If a professional career is not in his future, then he hopes to be a forensic scientist or criminologist.

I really need to talk to dad. As in tonight. I was taking Brendan to get some BK (he's never had it before! ) and he started talking about his family and the casino. Uncle Johnny owns the casino here, Utopia. I've never really heard much about Uncle Johnny, just that he owns Utopia. That's pretty much it. We don't go there that often. I think we went there for dinner once or twice. Maybe my parents go. But other than that, we're not really involved with it. Brendan was surprised by that and I didn't understand why. He said that he thought it was like a family business and I had to laugh at that. Grandpa Rossi wasn't involved, and neither are my uncles and aunts. Then he started talking about how the casino was just a cover! His family is involved with the casino, and he said it was their cover for selling drugs! Drugs! How could I have missed that? I didn't know what to say. I didn't want to sound like a complete idiot, so I played it off like I knew what he was talking about. And he said that my family was probably involved with everything and more! Are we really involved with drugs and threatening people and things like that? Is my dad involved in that? I have to ask him about it. I have to know.
